The technique of maxillary sinus lift, also known as sinus lift, is an effective procedure to address the reduction of the maxillary sinus and the consequent loss of bone volume after tooth extraction, in order to facilitate the proper placement of dental implants. In situations where there is insufficient bone for implantation, especially after prolonged tooth loss, the elevation of the maxillary sinus membrane and the use of bone grafts are employed to increase bone volume, ensuring a solid foundation for the implants. This procedure, performed under local anesthesia, is minimally invasive and concludes with the strategic placement of implants, contributing to the restoration of functionality and aesthetics of the upper jaw.
